I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor who has been practicing in the Montrose, Colorado area since 2018. Specializing in Autism and ADHD
My passion is to help clients love the way their unique brains work, attend to needs that may have been long dismissed and neglected (and sometimes punished), and create their own paths towards healing and thriving. I run a neuroaffirming practice, not just because it is kind, but also because it is the one I have found to be the most effective in the long run. My goal is to see happy, regulated autistics be able to create the environment they choose; not to teach them to learn masking skills to blend into other people’s environments or to hide their differences.
There are more providers helping kids, but very few who are helping unidentified and late-identified autistic and ADHD adults. I specialize in recognizing autism and ADHD in older adults who have wondered all their lives why it has been so difficult to make friends or to fit in or to consistently perform at the level they know they are capable of. I also specialize in recognizing autistic and ADHD women and girls, who can present very differently than the textbook model. It is important to see, understand, and embrace the unique expressions and styles of each individual person.
“If you have met one person with autism, you have met one person with autism.”
