Stress ‘ometer

A frequently cited difficulty in autistic/ADHDers is being aware when they are stressed, hungry, thirsty, tired, or have bathroom needs. An autistic client shared their stress ‘ometer (rhymes with thermometer) they use to check-in with themselves. It can be used also for specific situations, such as stress level at work vs at home vs in nature; or specific times; or with specific people.

I replicated the model shared by the client, and then applied it to different senses as follows. The PDF can be printed out and attached to a clipboard, using a clothespin for a marker.

It can also be placed on a metal surface, such as a refrigerator or cabinet, using a magnet as a marker. The picture shows a magnet used on a metal board.
